Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

JetWash Planner ("we", "us", "our") is a business management application for external cleaning businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account Data

Your name, email address, and password when you register. This is required to provide the Service.

Business Data

Your company name, phone number, and business address entered in Settings.

Customer Data

Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and property addresses of your customers that you enter into the app. You are the data controller for this information; we are the data processor.

Job & Financial Data

Job records, pricing, invoices, and notes you create within the app.

Payment Data

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe or Apple. We do not store your full card details — only your Stripe customer ID and subscription reference.

Usage Data

Basic analytics about how the app is used (e.g. feature interactions) to help us improve the Service. No personally identifiable information is included.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide and operate the JetWash Planner Service.
  • Process subscription payments and send billing confirmations.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. subscription confirmations, payment receipts).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

  • Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Service you have subscribed to.
  • Legitimate interests — improving the Service and preventing fraud.
  • Legal obligation — complying with applicable laws and regulations.

5. Your Customers' Data & Your Responsibilities

When you enter customer personal data (names, phone numbers, addresses) into JetWash Planner, you are the data controller for that information. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to hold and process your customers' data, and that you comply with your own obligations under UK GDPR — including informing your customers how their data is used.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We apply access controls to limit who can access your data internally. While we take all reasonable precautions, no internet-based system can be 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your business data, customer records, and job history will be permanently deleted from our systems. Stripe may retain transaction records for their own legal and compliance purposes.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate JetWash Planner:

  • Stripe — payment processing (web subscriptions). Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Apple — in-app purchase processing (iOS). Apple Privacy Policy
  • Mapbox / Google Maps — address lookup and route mapping. Only the address or coordinates you enter are transmitted.
  • Open-Meteo — weather forecasting. Only your saved location coordinates are transmitted.

These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.

9. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data (via Settings).
  • Right to erasure — delete your account and all associated data (via Settings → Delete Account).
  • Right to restrict processing — request we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the support option in the app. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies

JetWash Planner uses only strictly necessary session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance.

12. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
